The Autumn Painter ...

Brushstroke by brushstroke, a painter captures on canvas
the glorious autumn beauty God has painted this October
at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.

I took this candid shot of the artist and her easel
nestled in a picturesque spot between the ford of the 
Jordan Creek and the pedestrian bridge at the preserve. 

Autumntide ...

Autumn is a beautiful season tinged with a sweet saddness, just as
the song "Softly, As I Leave You" performed by the legendary
Bobby Darin, which sets the mood showcased by my original photos.
My greatest joy as a photographer is harmonizing my favorite original
photos to music to create a lingering snapshot of the season. Enjoy!

October like a dream in a crest of the
Little Lehigh Creek, Lehigh Parkway, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Heron Of An Autumn Morn ...

Great Blue Heron peers with a hunter's gaze perched in the sunshine and shadows of an autumn morning on the banks of the Little Lehigh Creek, Lehigh Parkway, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Once Upon A Time ...

Harkening back to a simpler, sweeter time,
a beautiful October morning frames the historic beauty
of Rex's Covered Bridge, North Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania.
Though diminutive in size, it's well traveled in this
picturesque rural area where it crosses the Jordan Creek.

Rex's is a wooden, 150-foot-long Burr Truss bridge
constructed in 1858. It has narrow horizontal siding
and a gable roof. It was listed on the National Register
of Historic Places in 1980. 

Mist Of The Autumn Morn ...

There is something so very special about the early morning, the
serenity, the quiet beauty. This feeling of a fresh new day is palpable
as the mist rises just after sunrise on a beautiful, chilly October
morning at Wehr's Dam, Orefield, Pennsylvania.

The historic dam, awash with the waters of the Jordan Creek, was built in 1904 
and is the perfect complement  next to Wehr's Covered Bridge, built in 1841.

Seeing this rose petal nestled in the leaves at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania recently reminded me of the beautiful, sentimental words of James Barrie.

The gorgeous sky just before sunset last night at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, PA reminded me of the title of the 1955 movie, "All That Heaven Allows."

The Jordan Creeks spills over Wehr's Dam on a beautiful Saturday morning this
weekend., bringing to mind the 1969 Sandpipers song, "Come Saturday Morning." 
Wehr's Dam is located at Wehr's Covered Bridge Park, Orefield, Pennsylvania.
The bridge was built in 1841 and restored in 1965.

Gilded autumn leaves create a canopy this morning at one of my favorite spots on the Saucon Rail Trail, Hellertown, Pennsylvania.

The Hockendauqua Creek flows beneath the historic Kreidersville Covered Bridge this weekend, creating a painterly scene.  Built in 1839,  the bridge in Allen Township, Pennsylvania, is the only covered bridge left in Northampton County.
