Merganser On The Banks Of Spring ...

A female common merganser soaks up the beauty of a mid-April afternoon on the banks of the Saucon Creek just off the Saucon Rail Trail, Hellertown, Pennsylvania.

The common merganser or goosander is a large seaduck of rivers and lakes in forested areas of Europe, Asia & North America. The common merganser eats fish and nests in holes in trees.
