Fording A Summer Evening ...

“I saw that my life was a vast glowing page and I could do anything I wanted.”
                         ~ Jack Kerouac
                             ~ 1922-1969
As the summer wanes, a couple ford the Jordan Creek by motorcycle on a beautiful early September evening at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania in this selective color shot.

For more than 50 years kids and kids at heart have enjoyed driving through the creek.

The ford at the preserve is one of my very favorite places to be and to photograph.

By Leaps And Bounds ...

“Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart …
Live free and beauty surrounds you ...
Stay free, where no walls divide you ...
Born free, and life is worth living
But only worth living
'Cause you're born free.”
 ~ “Born Free”
~ title song of the 1966 film
~music by John Barry, lyrics by Don Black
In a winter shorn of snow, a beautiful and free white-tailed deer fawn, born free, is growing by leaps and bounds on her way to becoming a yearling as she seemingly sails through the park on a late January evening in the Leap Year of 2020.

Savoring The Moment ...

“If you are not filled with overflowing love, compassion and goodwill for all creatures living wild in nature, you will never know true happiness.”

My favorite white-tailed deer doe savors an apple in the spring snow on an early April evening in the park in this selective color shot.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.
