A World Where It Was Always June ...

“I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.”
      ~ L.M. Montgomery
          ~ 1874-1942
A man cycles along the Saucon Rail Trail, Hellertown, Pennsylvania on a picturesque June afternoon a few days after summer, my most favorite of seasons, has just begun and starts to grow its beauty throughout the landscape.

The gorgeous day made me think of L.M. Montgomery’s words, “I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.” I think, what a wonderful world that would be!

Those Summer Days ...

“End of spring and here she comes back
Hi hi hi hi there
Them summer days, those summer days …”
~ “Hot Fun in the Summertime”
~ Sly & The Family Stone
          ~ 1969
I spotted this beach ball nestled in the high grass of a field at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania on an early August evening, seemingly left there after a day of fun in summer, my most favorite of seasons.

Ah those summer days, if only they could last all year long!

Fording The Early Morning Mist ...

“Nothing behind me, everything ahead of me, as is ever so on the road.”

                   ~ Jack Kerouac

                       ~ 1922-1969

                        ~ “On The Road”

                             ~ 1957

The mist rises poetically soon after sunrise on a brisk and beautiful October morning as visitors ford the Jordan Creek at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania in this selective color shot.

For more than 50 years kids and kids at heart have enjoyed driving through the creek.

The ford at the preserve is one of my very favorite places to be and to photograph.
