He's Just Whistlin' Dixie ...

“I find my happiness where the sun shines.”
            ~ Author Unknown

This alligator is just whistlin’ dixie on the sunny side of the lagoon on an October afternoon in the Lowcountry of Beaufort County, South Carolina.

This autumn day was the first time I had the chance to photograph an alligator, and this one lazed in the sun for a very long time!

Doe's Taste Of Summer ...

“… I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief …
For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
~ “The Peace of Wild Things”
                                      ~ Wendell Berry

                 ~ American novelist, poet,
                    environmental activist,
                      cultural critic & farmer

My favorite white-tailed deer doe enjoys a taste of summer as she savors an apple on a beautiful July evening in the park.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.

Summer Swan ...

“Happiness, not in another place but this place … not for another hour, but this hour.”
                        ~ Walt Whitman
                               ~ 1819-1892

A beautiful mute swan glides on the water as sunset knocks on the door of a sweet summer evening along the Saucon Rail Trail, Hellertown, Pennsylvania, perhaps reflecting on the beauty of this sunkissed moment.
