Buck In The Falling Snow ...
“… I
come into the peace of wild things
who
do not tax their lives with forethought of grief …
For
a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
~ “The Peace of Wild Things”
~ Wendell Berry
~ born 1934
~ American novelist, poet, environmental
activist, cultural critic & farmer
A
beautiful four point white-tailed deer buck strikes a majestic pose as a
peaceful hush sweeps across the field as a midwinter snowfall begins cascading
from the sky in this high contrast monochrome shot I captured in the park in
the late afternoon of a February day.

Winter At The Ford ...
“One
day I will find the right words, and they will be simple.”
~ Jack Kerouac
~ 1922-1969
Winter’s
quiet beauty paints a simple elegance in this high contrast monochrome shot I
captured during a January sunset at the Ford of the Jordan Creek, one of my
very favorite places to be and to photograph at Trexler Nature Preserve,
Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.

Baby It's Cold Outside Video ...
Cool cat Dean Martin's rendition of "Baby It's Cold Outside" sets the mood to swing into the beauty of winter showcased in my original photos.
My greatest joy as a photographer is harmonizing my original photos to music to create a lingering snapshot of the season. Enjoy!

Hope Is The Thing ...
“Hope”
is the thing with feathers –
That
perches in the soul –
And
sings the tune without words –
And
never stops at all."
~ “Hope Is The Thing With Feathers”
~ Emily Dickinson
~ 1830-1886
A
large white feather that has landed on a tree trunk billows in the breeze on a
rare warm February day at Lehigh Parkway, Allentown, Pennsylvania in this high
contrast monochrome shot, a reminder that hope is always in the wind and
appears where you may least expect it.
