The Fruits Of Summer ...

“If you are not filled with overflowing love, compassion and goodwill for all creatures living wild in nature, you will never know true happiness.”

My favorite white-tailed deer doe enjoys an apple in early July, painting a sweet sight as sunset draws near in the park in summer, my most favorite of seasons.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.

Steppin' It Up ...

“Trust yourself that you can do it and get it.”

     ~ Bazmark “Baz” Luhrmann

~Australian director, writer & producer, who is director of “Elvis,” an upcoming biographical drama film about the great Elvis Presley from a screenplay written by Luhrmann & Craig Pearce

My favorite white-tailed deer button buck – Buttons, as I call him – steps it up and eyes his apple just before he goes for it and enjoys his snack on a mid-January evening in the park in this selective color shot.

I began photographing Buttons as a precious white-spotted fawn, then a sweet button buck and then a beautiful yearling until he migrated away in January 2020. Along the way I tossed him many apples, which he loved eating. It’s a true joy and blessing to me personally and as a photographer to have watched this white-tailed deer grow.
