Dream Of A Mad Orange Sunset ...

“Meanwhile the sunsets are mad orange fools raging in the gloom....”

 ~ Jack Kerouac

 ~ 1922-1969

It’s a mad orange sunset as a summer sundown creates silhouetted beauty as it sweeps across Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania in this abstract image I captured on a beautiful late August evening.

In The Cosmos ...

“Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it.”

       ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

         ~ 1803 ~ 1882

The Cosmos Field at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus, Easton, Pennsylvania brightens a late August afternoon when the sun often dipped behind the clouds.

Cosmos, with their colorful, daisy-like blooms, are related to sunflowers and daisies.

The cosmos flowering season lasts for several months, running from early summer until the first frosts arrive in the fall. The season usually lasts from June to October.

St. Luke’s also has a Sunflower Garden that is part of the cheery landscape of blooms.

Whitetails Of A Summer Twilight ...

“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.”

          ~ Vincent van Gogh

             ~1853 ~ 1890

It’s always the sweetest sight of summer to see a white-tailed fawn, and to see two together is twice the joy!

I captured this shot of twin white-spotted fawns with their mama doe as a summer twilight falls across Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania on a beautiful late July evening.
