October Road ...

“…Let the sun run down right behind the hill,

I know how to stand there still till the moon rise up

right behind the pine, oh, Lord, October road …

Sweet call of the countryside …”

With the warmth of summer lingering in the air, the light of a looming early October sunset follows a Jeep through the rolling hillsides on Game Preserve Road on a beautiful autumn evening at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.

Goin' To Carolina In My Mind ...

“In my mind I’m goin’ to Carolina

Can’t you see the sunshine? …

You must forgive me

If I’m up and gone to Carolina in my mind …”

The beach chair is empty ~ I’ve gone to Carolina in my mind.

I shot this scene on a beautiful late October afternoon as the Atlantic Ocean meets Coligny Beach, Hilton Head Island in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
