Hope In Winter

"Stay, little cheerful robin ..."
~ William Wordsworth, "To A Redbreast"

I was happily surprised to see this sweet robin in the snow last week
at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania. A sure sign of hope in winter!

Painting Light ...

"There was a time when meadow, grove and stream,
The earth, and every common sight,
To me did seem
Apparell'd in celestial light,
The glory and the freshness of a dream."
                ~ William Wordsworth
"Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood"

The autumn sun paints the stream last weekend at Trexler Memorial Park,
Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Of Glory In The Flower ...

"Though nothing can bring back the hour
of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not,
rather find strength in what remains behind ..."

~ William Wordsworth, "Ode: Intimations of Immortality
                                     from Recollections of Early Childhood"

When I saw these flowers planted near the Saucon Rail Trail, Hellertown, Pennsylvania in the waning days of summer last week, it reminded me of these lines from my favorite poem.
