After The April Rain ...

“Our spring has come at last with the soft laughter of April suns and shadow of April showers.”
                      ~ Byron Caldwell Smith
After soaring temperatures into the 80s in mid-April spurred it to bloom, my favorite pink magnolia tree still looks beautiful just after a cold spring rain at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Baby Magnolia ...

“All art is but imitation of nature.”
                      ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca
                                       ~ 4 B.C.- 66 A.D.
Like awakening from a dream, the first breaking bud on my favorite magnolia tree at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania springs to life on an April evening.

Frosted Magnolia ...

"In the depth of winter I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer."
                              ~ Albert Camus
A bud on my favorite magnolia tree at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania is frosted with a hint of winter magic during a light January snowfall.

Magnolia By Morning ...

"Despite the forecast, live like it's spring."
                                        ~ Lilly Pulitzer
                                                  ~ 1931-2013

The sunlight of an April morning whispers softly as a dream around the magnolia tree at my favorite spot at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

You Fill Up My Senses ...

"You fill up my senses,
like a night in the forest
like the mountains in springtime
like a walk in the rain ..."
          "Annie's Song"
                     ~ John Denver, 1974

A magnolia blossom fills the senses with beauty
on an April day at Trexler Memorial Park,
Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Stirring ...

"Love is the only flower that grows and blossoms
without the aid of the seasons."
                                                               ~ Kahlil Gibran

I love magnolia trees, and this breaking bud shows spring was stirring
this weekend at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
