The Snow Goose Welcomes Spring ...

A snow goose joyfully welcomes spring with open wings along the banks of the Jordan Creek on the first day of spring – March 20, 2022 – at Covered Bridge Park, Orefield, Pennsylvania.

The Jordan Creek pours over Wehr’s Dam, built in 1904, then continues to flow beneath Wehr’s Covered Bridge, which dates back to 1841.

Grackle On Green Waters ...

A common grackle soaks up the beauty of late spring perched in the waters of the Jordan Creek, which reflects the green trees of early June, on a beautiful evening at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. Grackles are members of the blackbird family.

Great White's Evening Hunt ...

Showing off its wingspan, a Great White Egret – also called a Great White Heron – reflects in the Jordan Creek as it dips its long, sharp bill under the water to spear its prey while hunting for supper on a warm and beautiful mid-August evening as sunset approaches at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.
