Sundae In New York ...

"New York on Sunday
Big city taking a nap
Slow down, it's Sunday
Life's a ball, let it fall in your lap.

If you've got troubles
Just take them out for a walk
They'll burst like bubbles
In the fun of a Sunday in New York."
                  ~ "Sunday In New York"
      ~Composed by Peter Nero
for the 1963 film  "Sunday In New York"
                              &
Recorded by the wonderful Bobby Darin

It's not Sunday but instead Sundae fun-time
in New York as people line up at a cheery
ice cream truck for shakes, sundaes and cones
on a sunny April day in Lower Manhattan.

Ballad Of Autumn Video ...

The legendary Bobby Darin's beautiful version
of the wistful "Try To Remember" from the
1960 musical "The Fantasticks" sets the mood
for this celebration of autumn showcased in
my original photos.

My greatest joy as a photographer is harmonizing
my favorite original photos to music to create a
lingering snapshot of the season. Enjoy!

Autumntide ...

Autumn is a beautiful season tinged with a sweet saddness, just as
the song "Softly, As I Leave You" performed by the legendary
Bobby Darin, which sets the mood showcased by my original photos.
My greatest joy as a photographer is harmonizing my favorite original
photos to music to create a lingering snapshot of the season. Enjoy!

Softly, As In An Evening Sunset ...

"Softly, as in an evenin' sunset
the light that gave you glory
will take it all away" ...

So sang the wonderful Bobby Darin in his version of
"Softly, As In A Morning Sunrise," from
Sigmund Romberg and Oscar Hammerstein's
1928 operetta, "The New Moon."

This sunset stole softly into the sky on a hot
June evening at Trexler Memorial Park,
Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Cherry Sundae ...

"Slow down it's Sunday ..."
                           ~ "Sunday In New York"

Who needs a sundae with a Sunday view as sweet as these
Kwanzan Cherry Trees lining North Ott Street near
Cedar Creek Parkway, Allentown, Pennsylvania
in May.

There are 46 Japanese Flowering Cherry Trees in the
vicinity. The original trees date to the late 1950s
or early 1960s.

As Bobby Darin sang, "Slow down it's Sunday!"
