Bravo, America ! ...

“With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God’s work must truly be our own.”
~ from the inspiring Inaugural Address of
                President John Fitzgerald Kennedy
                                  ~ 1917-1963
                35th President of
                    the United States of America
                              ~ 1960-1963
                              & U.S. Navy veteran

The celebration of freedom is colorfully etched in the night sky by Fourth of July fireworks set off at Dorney Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Happy Birthday, America! Bravo!

How wonderful it would be to have fireworks – and the fire of patriotism – in our hearts every day!

Local Honey ...

“Life is the flower for which love is the honey.”
                ~ Victor Hugo
                   ~ 1802-1885

Local honey is for sale on the front porch of one of the colorful houses in Belvidere, New Jersey, a bright and fun touch of Americana on a late summer September day.

Belvidere, one of my very favorite places, is a charming Victorian town located on the banks of the Pequest and Delaware Rivers.

He's Just Whistlin' Dixie ...

“I find my happiness where the sun shines.”
            ~ Author Unknown

This alligator is just whistlin’ dixie on the sunny side of the lagoon on an October afternoon in the Lowcountry of Beaufort County, South Carolina.

This autumn day was the first time I had the chance to photograph an alligator, and this one lazed in the sun for a very long time!
