Doe In The Spring Greens ...

“… I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief …
For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”

                                  ~ born 1934
~ American novelist, poet, environmental activist, cultural critic & farmer

My favorite white-tailed deer doe grazes in the spring greens on a beautiful June evening in the park.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.

Like awakening from a dream, the first breaking bud on my favorite magnolia tree at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania springs to life on an April evening.

Southern Grace ...

“The South …
Our tea is sweet
Words are long
Days are warm
And faith is strong.”

The warm sun of late October shines on Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church on Squire Pope Road, Hilton Head Island on a gorgeous autumn day in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
