Doe Of A Midsummer Night ...

“If we can teach people about wildlife, they will be touched. Share my wildlife with me. Because humans want to save what they love.”
                         ~ Steve Irwin
                               ~ 1962-2006
My favorite white-tailed deer doe pauses from grazing as she watches me walk up the hill to give her an apple – or two! – on a beautiful July evening in the park.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.

Afternoon Of A Fawn ...

I spotted the sweetest sight of summer – a beautiful white-tailed deer fawn – in the early afternoon of a beautiful July day along the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L Trail)  near the East Penn Township Trailhead in Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania.

I was surprised to see this white-spotted cutie so early in the afternoon, with its mama doe close by.

Running from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol, the D&L Trail passes through the Lehigh and Delaware rivers and their canals in Pennsylvania.

It doesn’t get sweeter than this, seeing a beautiful white-tailed deer fawn tenderly nuzzling its mama doe on a gorgeous July evening in the park – a honey of a summer sight!
