All Too Soon ...

“All too soon we had to part
The moment you had touched my heart
And with you went my dream
All too soon …

You should know as well as I
Our love deserves another try
For you whispered goodbye
All too soon
Too soon”
                     ~ “All Too Soon”
            ~ 1940 song composed
by Duke Ellington, lyrics by Carl Sigman,
     recorded by other artists including
               Ella Fitzgerald

After rare warm February temperatures, this daffodil bloomed all too soon at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania, then whispers goodbye as it wilts all too soon after a March snowfall.

Daffodil, Jonquil, Narcissus … whatever name you choose, it’s beauty is gone all too soon about a week before spring is set to bloom.

Taking A Bite Out Of Winter ...

“It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.”
                    ~ Laura Ingalls Wilder
                              ~ 1867-1957
My favorite white-tailed deer doe takes a bite out of winter as she enjoys eating an apple on a February evening in the park.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.
