Fawn On Summer's Ridge ...

“In all things of nature, there is something of the marvelous.”
                    ~ Aristotle

There are few sweeter sights than a young and innocent white-spotted fawn such as this beautiful white-tailed deer fawn posing on a ridge near her mama doe on an early September evening as summer wanes at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.

Doe In The Spring Greens ...

“… I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief …
For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”

~ “The Peace of Wild Things”
                              ~ Wendell Berry
                                  ~ born 1934
~ American novelist, poet, environmental activist, cultural critic & farmer

My favorite white-tailed deer doe grazes in the spring greens on a beautiful June evening in the park.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.

My favorite white-tailed deer doe and her fawn pose for a sweet September portrait at home in the park as sunset knocks on the door of a beautiful, waning summer evening.

I’ve been blessed to photograph this doe and her fawns since 2012, and it’s a true joy to me personally and as a photographer.
