I Will Remember Too ...

“I’ll remember you
Long after this endless summer has gone
I’ll be lonely oh so lonely
Living only to remember you …

To your arms someday I’ll return to stay
Till then I will remember too
Every bright star we made wishes upon
Love me always, promise always
Oooh, you’ll remember too
I’ll remember you.”
             ~  “I’ll Remember You”
~ written by Kui Lee, 1964
~ recorded by the great Elvis Presley, 1966
A beautiful tree swallow poses with a seemingly wistful expression, as if to say, “I will remember too” on a beautiful late May afternoon along the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L Trail) at Lehigh Gap.

In the shadow of the Kittatinny Ridge, also called Blue Mountain, the Lehigh Gap in Slatington, Pennsylvania, is a crossroads where the Lehigh Gap Nature Center’s trails connect two historic trails – the Appalachian Trail and the D&L Trail.

The Appalachian Trail, a foot path, follows the ridge on both sides of the Lehigh Gap, running 1,245 miles south to Georgia and 930 miles north to Maine. Running from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol, the D&L Trail passes through the Lehigh and Delaware rivers and their canals in Pennsylvania.

And The Grass Won't Pay No Mind ...

“Listen easy, you can hear God calling
Walking barefoot by the stream …
And the time will be our time
And the grass won’t pay no mind …

The moment we’re living is now
Now now now now now now now…

And the time will be our time
And the grass won’t pay no mind
No the grass won’t pay no mind.”

~ “And The Grass Won’t Pay No Mind”
~ Words & Music by Neil Diamond
~ recorded by the great Elvis Presley
      ~ 1969

And the grass won’t pay no mind on a sweet and warm late spring evening as the light of sunset filters through the lush, tall grass with a tranquil hush in early June at Trexler Memorial Park, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Baby It's Cold Outside Video ...

Cool cat Dean Martin's rendition of "Baby It's Cold Outside" sets the mood to swing into the beauty of winter showcased in my original photos.

My greatest joy as a photographer is harmonizing my original photos to music to create a lingering snapshot of the season. Enjoy!

Cut, Color And Roll ...

“ … Well I said shake, rattle and roll
I said shake, rattle and roll …”
                        “Shake, Rattle and Roll”
~ written in 1954 by Jesse Stone (1901-1999) under his assumed songwriting name Charles E. Calhoun
~ recorded by the great Elvis Presley
                             ~1956

Strolling through Belvidere, New Jersey on a rare warm February afternoon, I came across this cool sign for Dee’s Doos Hair Salon. Elvis Presley sang about “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” but at Dee’s I believe the slogan would be “Cut, Color and Roll!”

Belvidere, one of my very favorite places, is a charming Victorian town located on the banks of the Pequest and Delaware Rivers.
